[glow=red,2,300]DURAN DURAN VISIT THE BLUES[/glow]
Duran Duran fever hit St. Andrew's this afternoon with a visit from three members of the legendary pop band to promote their spectacular stadium show taking place at the ground later this year.
For once it wasn't the professional footballers that were sending female hearts fluttering, but the appearance of Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor.
The trio were allowed the opportunity to walk on the St. Andrew's turf that in four months times will be awash with their screaming fans.
They were joined on the pitch by self-confessed Duranie David Dunn and his Blues team mates Maik Taylor and Matthew Upson for publicity photographs before the band members retired to the warmth of the Boardroom to talk to the press about the May 28 gig.

"It is going to be the big one for us this year - the biggest show that we do and the only one in the UK," said Roger.
"It is going to be amazing. We have just been walking around on the pitch and the stadium has really changed.
"There has been so much investment here and St. Andrew's will be a great venue.
"It is the first time that we have done a stadium show since Villa Park in 1983. We wanted to come to St. Andrew's just to even the score!
"It is great to come back to your home town and that is always the most important show for us."
Inevitably the subject of football allegiances cropped up, with Simon holding his hands up to supporting Manchester United, Nick's family follow the Baggies whilst Roger admitted to being a Villa fan.
Although the latter hastily added: "My dad used to drag me down there by the scruff of the neck every other week!"
Nick revealed the stick he got from his father because the band had first played Villa Park, and now St. Andrew's, with no mention of the Hawthorns.
"He moaned when we played Villa Park and 22 years on he is saying the same thing because we are performing at Birmingham City," he laughed.
Returning to talk of the May show at St. Andrew's, Simon promised that the crowd will certainly get their money's worth.
"We will play a lot of old stuff and the ones that we think are peoples' favourites and that includes songs like Rio, Reflex and Save A Prayer," he insisted.
"We have a lot of songs to choose from so we can't play them all. But we will be on stage for around two hours. It will be a Duranathon!"
Tickets for the show can be obtained through www.getlive.co.uk and www.gigsandtours.com or by calling 0870 400 0688 or 0871 2200 260.
