[glow=red,2,300]Duran Duran Returning To North America[/glow]
Reunited British rock act Duran Duran has confirmed a summer North American tour, beginning July 15 in Nashville and running through Aug. 3 in Virginia Beach, Va. The tour will play a mix of outdoor amphitheatres and smaller venues such as Indianapolis' Murat Theatre and Dayton, Ohio's Fraze Pavilion.
The outing will mark another North American push behind the group's 2004 Epic album "Astronaut," which debuted at No. 17 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 233,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The most recent leg of shows wrapped with an April 13 sell-out at New York's Madison Square Garden.

"I don't think any of us are satisfied with how that record has done and that's really why we're planning on staying on the road for most of this year," bassist John Taylor told Billboard.com in March. "Because I think it's an album that is deserved of a bigger audience than what it already has, our job in part is to turn people on to the new music and that's what the touring is about."
The group recently made Peter Rauhofer remixes of new album track "What Happens Tomorrow" available at digital download retailers. The cut is No. 13 this week on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart.
Duran Duran will spend the first half of the summer on tour in Europe, beginning May 20 in Barcelona.
