Eighties rockers DURAN DURAN were deeply embarrassed by their most famous fan DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES.
The RIO rockers were the late Princess' favourite group and she went to great lengths to see them perform live.
But bandmembers were distinctly less enthusiastic about the royal support.
Frontman SIMON LE BON is quoted in forthcoming biography NOTORIOUS saying, "The Di thing was a bit naff. It was something your mum and dad liked, so there was a part of me that bristled at it.
