"When I realised that I would have had dinner next to my idol from my youth Roger Taylor, drummer of Duran Duran, I immediately accepted the London invitation by Enrique de Colsa, master distiller of Don Julio tequila. Hours of make-up and styling. I pick a total white dress by Ermanno Scervino. I sit down. Between me and Roger there's a lovely Peruvian girl, Gisella Benares, that he introduces as his fiancee (first sip of tequila). Then she eagerly lets me know that they are getting married on May 12 on a caribbean island (second sip of tequila). Last, she tells me Roger will be wearing an ivory white suit by Giorgio Armani, while she's picked the brides' designer Vera Wang (third sip of tequila).
By now I have vertigo. I'm drunk from the details of his best day: the wedding ceremony will take place on a terrace overlooking the sea, with just 60 guests and a thousand roses shipped from Miami, harp muisc will be played, while jazz will be played at the reception, which will be based on fish dishes. At the reception songs mixed by Roger on Gisella's request, wil be played. Gisella's hen party (is that what you call them??) will be held in New York City with her best friends, and right after she will join Roger and Duran Duran in Los Angeles where the band will play a charity show.
After dinner the three of us go to the Hard Rock Cafè. Roger introduced me to his son James, that plays in a band. Very cute, but, ummmph, my Roger is getting married again!"
