the story
When Bond's usual intelligence sources fail, he enlists the aid of crime boss Draco to track down Ernst Blofeld , head of the evil SPECTRE organization. The trail leads to the mountains of Switzerland, where Bond goes undercover in Blofeld's hi-tech headquarters. He encounters a bevy of seductive women, but none more beautiful than Draco's daughter, Tracy , who wins 007 over with her fervent independence, caustic wit and love of adventure. Bond pledges his eternal devotion to her, but there are more immediate concerns: Blofeld is poised to unleash horrific germ warfare weaponry that will endanger every living thing on earth.

Review: First off, I like George Lazenby as 007. He had the panache and the looks to become a good Bond. If he had stuck with it he would have grown into the role, just as Connery did. As for the movie, if it had Connery it would have been the best of the series. The story was moving, touching, exciting, action packed, and by far the most emotional of all the Bond films. Other highlights include the original Bond ski-chase, a thrilling bobsled sequence, a strong plot and a great Blofeld. The film's greatest problem is the continuity issue with Bond and Blofeld not recognizing each other. True, the producers wanted to follow Fleming's book, but it just didn't work. Aside from that it was a flawless movie.
