JAMES Bond star Pierce Brosnan is still being kept in the dark as to whether he will play the suave secret agent again, he said today.
Bond producers are reportedly considering a younger face to take over from the 50-year-old Irish actor, who has portrayed the superspy four times since 1995.
Promoting his new movie Laws Of Attraction in New York last night, he told GMTV: "The producers asked me back, I said 'yes', then a certain sense of paralysis set in.
"They don’t know whether they’re coming or going, so when they figure out what they’re doing, they know where to find me, and should it be the case that we go again, then great."
Filming of the next Bond movie is due to begin next year.
Pierce is credited with having breathed new life into the franchise since first appearing as 007 in Goldeneye in 1995.
