[glow=red,2,300]Pierce Brosnan Confirms It's Over[/glow] In a statement on his official website, Pierce Brosnan has confirmed once and for all that his days as James Bond are over..."I would like to thank all of you who have supported me over the last year or so in regard to my playing Bond. It was a decade of my life that I will always hold dear to my heart and a time that will never be forgotten. And you dear friends stood by me throughout. Many, many thanks! Those rumours are now finally dismissed with this written statement.
Brosnan's open letter comes at a time when talk of which actor should take over is rife - with dozens of names being splashed around by the media. MI6 reported last month that Clive Owen is the man in the frame for 007 #6. Other than MGM canning the release date of November 18th 2005 to "sometime in 2006" following problems securing a director, no official announcements have been made on Bond 21. Further complications have upset the usual production schedule due to the Sony buyout of MGM.
Stay tuned to MI6 for the latest updates on Bond 21 as they happen.
